“Frankly Speaking” – by our Honorable Guest Tan Sri Dato Seri Dr. Chua Sui Lek.
Attended by about forty members of the alumni and friends, the event was both congenial and thought provoking. As always good camaraderie and “catching up” was witnessed throughout the afternoon.
The talk itself was more of a heart-to-heart sharing by Tan Sri Dr. Chua, where he reflected on his journey from childhood to his contended present. For the audience the greatest takeaway was that in life we always fall at different times, but it is imperative to get up every time, reassess the situation and move forward. Never let hardship become an obstacle.
Tan Sri had demonstrated through his life journey what Maya Angelou had said: “You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. Please remember that your difficulties do not define you. They simply strengthen your ability to overcome.”
Indeed, that was truly inspiring. Thank you Tan Sri!
